Shawny Hill

We’re having

a baby!

A registry page & information for our new little one, arriving February 2024

Hi everyone! Thanks so much for checking out our registry for Baby Hill. We’re so excited to become parents and do our very best to raise an awesome little human.

Given that we live in a different country from so many of our friends and family, we chose to register using three different sites - Canadian baby store Snuggle Bugz, Target (found only in the U.S.), and Babylist, which includes items that ship from both Canada and the States.

You’ll find that the majority of items are from Canadian companies and websites, as this is the simplest option for us to receive gifts. For items that can’t be directly shipped to our home in Canada, we’ve set up a mailing address just across the border in Blaine, Washington where we can drive down to pick up packages.

We’ve included some information about each registry option, including some tips to keep in mind when making your purchase, beside the links below.

We appreciate your love and support!

Registry Links for Baby Hill

SNUGGLE BUGZ

Items on this site are sold by the Canadian baby store, Snuggle Bugz. All prices are in Canadian dollars (appx. $0.73 for every U.S. $1) and will ship directly to our home in Port Moody. If purchasing from this page, we recommend using a credit card with no international fees to avoid any extra charges. If pick-up options are available, we can easily swing by the Coquitlam store to retrieve any gift.

BABYLIST

Most items found on this page can be purchased from Canadian websites and will ship directly to our home in Port Moody. These items will appear in Canadian dollars (CAD, appx. $0.73 for every $1 U.S. dollar) - we recommend using a card with no international fees, if you'd like to go this route. There are also a few items on this list that can only be found on U.S. websites. We've added a note next to each of these items. If purchasing from U.S. stores that do not ship to Canada, please send gifts to our Blaine, WA address, which is:

Shawn + Kirstin Hill
365 H Street
#60840
Blaine, WA 98230

Target of Bellingham

TARGET

We couldn’t resist adding a few adorable items from Target’s baby department! This registry is linked directly to our shipping address in Blaine, WA, as Target will not ship directly to Canada. If only pick-up options are available, we can visit the Bellingham store to retrieve any gift. All prices will appear in U.S. dollars.

Thanks for visiting our registry!

Still have questions? Keep reading for some FAQ’s!

  • A baby!

Kidding aside, we’ve chosen to go the “surprise” route - the items on our registries are gender neutral choices that we feel could work for a boy or girl.

  • Gift cards are tricky, as U.S. gift cards can’t be used in Canada, and vice versa. To avoid confusion, we’re doing our best to limit gift cards (unless otherwise specified on the registry).

  • As Kirsty is now entering the third trimester, we aren’t planning any long trips until after the baby arrives. The next time we visit back home, it will be with the little one in tow - likely when the kiddo is several months old and can handle a five hour flight!

Of course, we’re always happy to have folks come out and visit us in beautiful BC!

  • Since we can’t be there in person, we’re working with our families to come up with a creative way to celebrate our new little one with you. Stay tuned for more details!

  • Both! Because we are both American citizens and the baby will be born in Canada, our little one will be a dual citizen.

  • Looking to send us a card, or some pre-loved baby books or clothes?

Send us a message at missleandshawny@gmail.com and we’d be happy to share our address!

  • If you’d like to send us a package from the U.S. directly to our home in Canada, there are a few tips we wanted to share:

Regardless of which carrier you use, you will need to complete a customs form when dropping off the package for shipment. You will need to list the items in the box (e.g. baby clothes, baby toys), as well as their declared value. To avoid hang-ups at the border, we highly recommend keeping the declared value at or below $50. It’s also very important that you mark the package as a “gift” (otherwise we will get a bill for duties and taxes owed!)

Lastly, unfortunately, shipping from the U.S. to Canada can be expensive. We realize this can be frustrating, which is why we’ve set up our registry pages to ship directly from vendors - this helps keep costs down!

  • No worries, we’re happy to help! You can reach out to us at missleandshawny@gmail.com, or message either of our Mom’s with any questions we haven’t addressed here.
